A candid admission by writer in the book-"Spiti mein Baarish ",about his purpose behind writing . He says" …can't find relief without writing......writing makes me free... feel nice." Krishna nath talks about prevailing superstition in laddhakh - " teen din ke baad devta ki anumati se rah sakte hain". Further Sanatan dharm 's absence is also explained with logic. It is somewhat like live depiction of tough life of mountains… beautiful narration of land as if reader himself is there. Through writer ….One could imagine that deserts are alike- scarcity of water there (cold desert), here (hot desert) also…. Life is tough there… here also. The author is philosophical, poetic, historical, cultural & secular as well- "sab tarah ki Pooja bhali hai…." above line gives new angle to think. Not only this but why stuff from cold desert is colorful also – the author explains plausibly. There is a famous saying –“the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page”. After reading this I feel as if another page to my life is also added. The writing contains deep, different interpretation - "taktaki laga kar dekhna bhi bhog hai." Reading a borrowed book is causing tension to me- feeling restricted in using highlighter :) Somebody says - world is a stage while writer says - "dunia natak hai ." Agreed. Assimilation of nature, peace, tranquility, yoga and meditation through words…beautifully.... in this creation. It establishes communication well with all…with immortals- with god’s statue, with river’s water etc. Buddhism is discussed nicely.....there is a thoughtful conversation between inner and outer world. All in all a good series of travelogue to read.
